Edmonton - Zucker & Greenway

Then when the Loui for Lucic deal goes down we can ship Loui off to the Sens after July 1st

So what do you think Lee gets? I’m thinking 8 mil now after yesterday’s horrible signing

is he that bad ? - Reveen.
The definition of perimeter player. I don't care much about the attitude concerns so much as his unwillingness to attack the high-danger areas. |

So he's very flawed like Pizza Party |

I’m hoping he gets 7.25 over 6, or 6.5 over 8. |

I would place lots of money on Puju being a better NHL player then Ho Sang

To be fair, that aspect of his game improved somewhat during the second half in Bridgeport last year. |

Hayes getting 7.1 for never getting over 50 points in a season is why I came up with 8 for Lee.....I’m still in shock that Hayes makes a mil less then Drai

Edmonton - Zucker & Greenway
Minnesota - Russell, Pulju and small sweetener - Reveen.
No chance that happens. They seem to like Greenway and Zucker is being shopped for much more around the league.
Puljujarvi, 2020 1st and Russell for Zucker and Pateryn. Near cap neutral and our team is far better with Zucker than it was with Russel and Puljujarvi. Leaves us the cap space to acquire another top-6 winger, too (Klefbom for Ehlers) and sign a guy like Gunnarsson or Nemeth and a 3rd line C. |

What he does in Bridgeport has little bearing on what he does in the NHL. Until he shows a willingness to attack the slot in the bigs, he'll be nothing more than a footnote. |

So in this scenario you are all in on Nurse to be our top pairing guy?

True, but I mentioned it because until recently he was a perimeter player in the AHL as well. Might be an indication that he’s altering his game, though that’s far from certain. |

Flawed for sure, but also very one-dimensional. Unlike Jesse, there's only one way Ho-Sang makes it as an NHLer: offense. He's also 2 years older than Jesse. I'd be looking for a better fit that has a lower ceiling.
Eriksson-Ek comes to mind. His offense in the NHL is a bit of a concern, but he hasn't really seen high quality linemates.
Maybe Winnipeg takes a chance on him. I'd require Copp.

What are your reasons for preferring Copp over Roslovic? Not condemning mind you, just curious. |

I think his status at a top-10 EV strength producer supports that. Maybe he's better off with some more sheltered minutes, but that's why I have things laid out the way I do.
Nurse- Pateryn (softer deployment; Burns pairing-lite)
Sekera- Larsson (hard minutes; Vlasic pairing- lite)
Nemeth- Benning (a fair share of harder minutes)
This is in no way a contending D corps, but it's one that'll keep things simple on the backend and hopefully provide soft landing spots for our prospects as they transition to the NHL. If we can improve our forwards noticeably (as my proposals do) then we're not relying on the D to keep us in games. We have a top-end HD defender on every pairing (Pateryn, Larsson and Nemeth) to help support our goalie. |

I think Nurse does better in this scenario and it gets him away from the black hole known as Russell....I think it was yesterday I made a comment about Klefbom being moved....for some reason I just believe there is a solid chance he won’t be on the team come the new season....go all in with Nurse and if he produces then sign him long term

We wouldn’t even be talking about it right now if certain teams would have gotten their paperwork in on time tho I’m glad he didn’t end up a Flame
