If Panarin comes to NYR than Kreider gone..if not then I say resign Kreider. Only can keep Kreider and Panarin if by some miracle, Shatty, Smith and Stinky are traded without too much $$ retained.....gotta say though, Gorton is better than advertised, thus far

Problem is the Draft. Suck to lose Kreider with the expectation of signing Panarin, only to have him chase the cash in Florida. He has to see what we're building here though.

Kreider can be resinged next year after draft if needed. He'd fetch another #1 at deadline if not going to be resinged

To stop these ridiculous contracts from being given out, how about stopping buyouts? Let the teams that sign these players to ridiculous contracts knowing they can just buyout the last few years have to deal with them. I know it would put us in a tough spot as we’ve used them on a number of players but it would put an end to the UFA frenzy that almost always ends badly.

Somewhat lost in all of the hoopla over the Trouba trade, there was some significant Rangers news the other day.

Both Nils Lundkvist and ( everyone's favorite draft pick from last year ) Olof Lindbom were named to Sweden's U20 team. Lindbom apparently showed some real progress in his game late in the season.

Can this off-season get any better?
