Sounds like the talk on Ristolainen is picking up. Nothing is imminent at this point, but TB still feels like the most likely landing spot if a trade happens. VAN and FLA have been in the mix as well.

Just yesterday it was Kyperos or Friedman said that he is hearing that Risto is pretty safe now and the plan is to see him under Krueger for at least the time til the trade deadline.

They said it seemed less likely but after thinking about it some more I think that is just posturing. Whenever there is this much smoke around a player he almost always ends up being traded soon. As always, consider how these guys know this information and who it would benefit.

I just see the part where he says they may want to hang on to him cause of Kreuger. Sounds more like a guess than actual knowledge.

They are comparable only in the sense of their placement in the lineup.

Subban is unquestionably worth more than Bogosian. But that contract is woof central, and may hinder us in building a balanced roster. Dahlin is about to surpass Subban's offense for 8M less.

I'm simply against paying another guy who can't defend and is injury prone 9M. That's all. That's exactly what Nashville is thinking too. And they need a buyer.

People here always forget about cap hits here. A player can be good but if he’s overpaid he is a negative to the makeup of a team. We all cheer how Tampa and Toronto might lose a good player because of cap but then want to trade for overpaid players. That will be us in a couple years then, unable to pay mitts because we have boat anchor contracts with minimal value
