We got Skinner for a boatload of Pu, and no if they lost in round 1 whether or not they won the trade it would have been all for not. The Blues’ window was now. If they lose this year, like a majority of the hockey world and myself included thought they would at some point, then it would have been just another miserable playoff exit.

The ROR trade, Bozak, Perron and to a smaller extent Maroon gave the Blues one last window of opportunity and they managed to get it done.

Make the final trade to put us over the top. I don’t hear many fans talk about the past and all of the playoff appearances we have accumulated in our 50 year history, I do hear the “0 Cups” thing get thrown around constantly though.

They have 14 mil tied up in JVR and Hayes long term.
