Loui(at the time) was the best UFA available, and his deal has technically been better for us than Ladd for NYI, Okposo for Buff, Lucic for EDM. - Retinalz
At the time I thought he would be a great fit with the Sedins too. Derp!
But youβre right, it could have been worse. |

I wish I could listen.
Those two have had a bad rap since the start but maybe now they have had time, it seems as if what they have been preaching to the fans is now taking place. Just needed patience - manvanfan
The job they inherited was a massive task. Now that theyβve had a few years to work on it itβs showing great signs. Too often ppl donβt exercise perspective & go off on a tangent. |

No dude I'm not on board trading Boeser for a larsson type dman lol
All I'm saying is that JB can hit like he did with Pearson and Leivo and get a RHD that can help out and a decent winger for Bo. Doesn't have to be top end UFA's - LordHumungous
Why do you guys think im talking Larssonesque. That must be the issue. I know ive ised the example before but here it is again
Ekblad at 7.5 or Boeser at 7.5 and hes gonna get more.
I know they are both good players but its a ton easier to get a boeser then an ekblad roast away but ill bet there is a zero percent chance florida does that
Defense first or you become edmonton which we are slowly becoming |

10 years from now someone will still be whining about the loui deal, mark my words. I hear it everyday at work. - Bettmanhatesus

13th can draft Newhook. We would control our Luongo destiny regarding buyout/LTIR. Dipetro is in the system going to AHL so hopefully not too far off (3yrs). Draft the Russian goalie the Dr. Troy loves so much in later rounds. With our own pick draft Zegras or Boldy.
Adding one of those 2 and Newhook in the same draft.....πππ |

The Russian wonβt get past the 2nd my bet.
40oa is too high |

The Avs need help with depth forwards and on D more than they need another D prospect.
Would they go for something like 4oa and Tyson Barrie for 10oa, Tanev, Sutter, JV and a 2020 1st?
If I'm Colorado I'm probably asking for a non-lottery protected pick and hoping I have better luck then with the Ott pick this year.
Not sure it would be enough, but could be a good starting point. |

Lateral moves that create one hole to fill another is a waste of time. None of it is easy. |

Fist line winger (a guy who will probably score 40) and a top pairing D is a wash. Now you need 4 top 6 wingers instead of 3. |

Listened to the Weisbrod interview. Some good stuff in there, not earth shattering but good fun. I will say, John is a much more intelligent interview than Jim, not one you know the whole time
And stuff |
