1. While the Canucks have never won the Stanley Cup, they have played for it three times: once as a an underdog with no bite, once as an underdog with some snarl and once as the favorite. In those three runs, did the Canucks ever have a #1 defenceman?

2. Islanders dynasty aside, it wasn't Leech or Chara who changed the series. It wasn't a number 1 D who won the cup for their team. Don't get me wrong, they were great, but goaltending won both those series. But what got the Canucks to those points? Yes, both MacLean and Luongo were good, but Bure's OT goal in Calgary, his KO elbow to Churla, his ability to score big goals played a major role in them being in the final. In '11 it was Burrows slaying the Dragon, Kesler manhandling the Preds, ok, I'll give you Bieska off the stanchion, but D.Sedin as a punching bag got them to game 7.
