Trouba wanted to go to one team
Barrie isn’t demanding anything - Redmile247
Trouba gave a list of 3 or 4. They are still both UFAS |

Wait. Trouba = late first round pick. Barrie = top 6 forward. Ok - CanuckDon
Chevy is a beta.
Plus, they will probably take one of the D at 20 who will slide into their lineup is 3 years and win a cup. |

Chicago (frank)ed up. I didn’t realize anyone could be that stupid. Dobson goes 6 in a redraft. Probably before Quinn |

Trouba still has a year, with no trade clauses and will be an RFA. He had zero say I’m where he was traded.
Edit. Looks like he’s just an RFA, no term left |

Trouba can essentially tell a team he won't sign with them. Makes it harder for a team to trade for him knowing it may be in vain. |

Most sites have Quinn around 5 in a redraft, Dobson around 10. |

He’s still a restricted free agent. If he doesn’t sign he doesn’t get paid and the team still retains his rights. If someone gives him an offer sheet, the team can match or take compensation. I’d they match, than the player who said they wouldn’t sign just signed... |

Wanna bet?
Trouba - 2019/20 RFA
https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/rangers
Also, Tyson Barrie, 1 year left on his contract, will be UFA for 2020/21 season. - 1970vintage
Then you will have to pay 9.5 for 8 years to keep him. Yikes.
Van has all the offence they need from Quinn Hughes. Time to get some defenders that can defend.
Van needs Soderstrom. Or Seider I guess |

I was just pointing out that the two players are in very different situations, as are the teams who traded/potentially trading them. |

And I'm adding points to your points so that we don't think about either and just drafted Soderstrom or Seider.
Both want too much money and it's better to draft and get rid of them for cheaper versions all the time unless they turn into #1s |

Where are all the rumours! GM's too busy to leak anything to the media?
Make your pick.
A: I want JB to make a big splash today
B: I want JB to stand pat and make his picks
C: Utilize cap space to gain draft picks and prospects
D: All of the above. |

B and C, but I would prefer to take on a contract for a player that will actually play (barring injury) versus one which is a paper transaction. That way we can female dog about different guys this year |

Since Loui will be gone, going to have to find a new scape goat. It's getting harder, less and less not to like about the roster every year. |

Depending on what A is, my answer is D.
Big splash to move up if it's worth it and select Byram for A. If it's too much (which it probably is), more likely option C to get better second-tier guys from teams along with a couple picks?
More than anything JB shouldn't be losing picks. |

The blues already had a playoff roster and changed coaches and found a goalie
There’s no real comparison
I’m actually surprised you haven’t been banging the coaching change drum more lol - Redmile247
That won't do anything.....if a team in last place changes a coach then goes on to win the cup right in front their own eyes and they dont realize how much a coaches role matters then theres no point in me saying it. Whatever I say won't cure blindness |
