I would see what barrie has in mind for ufa, if he wants to sign here next year wait it out. - Bettmanhatesus
This. To pay a premium price on Barrie, knowing the avs are shopping him because they have makar, girard and timmins all ready to go, and possibly byram if he falls to 4, no point in paying premium when they need to deal him. |

$100/year still isn't bad. I get DAZN for the same price. - golfingsince
Yep, I don't tend to pay for many subscriptions but that's worth it IMO. |

Hes a very good dman regardless, I would have hesitations though about having half our D be 5'10 or under, and I also want nothing to do with trading a 1st in this draft or next. - Codes1087
Trading a 1st for a halfling is not something I'm keen on. Don loves little people but he's weird. |

Timmins had an injury and should probably play another year in the AHL. They can afford to keep him and sell at TDL if needed. |

If there was an offer on the table along the lines of:
Boeser + 10(maybe small add?) for 12 + Zucker + Dumba
Would you do it? |

Drafting & ELC’s are high currency & not moved lightly. Our cap is a great tool & being shrewd is Plan ‘A’. The 2 options for us are go for a stud &/or an OS win or lose.
If nothing happens then onto Plan ‘B’ & take on a short bad contract. Plan ‘B’ could very easily be Plan ‘A’ if another team is motivated to deal. Leafs & VGK being them.
The Jets have big decisions to make & another possible partner in a deal but who do we like or want? |

Theres no rush to trade him, but point is, hes going to the odd man out in Colorado whether it's now, TDL or next summer. Paying premium for him is dumb |

Nope, we have precious few quality players/assets.
Keep them all. |

Waiting on how the draft plays out then who we might sign as an UFA might be better as a wait n see. The AV’s would need to offer a nice deal for me to change that. |

I agree. I really like Barrie as a player, but I think standing pat is better for us now. |

Well, some of us are gainfully employed and don't have the time to go through 36 pages of immature Richard measuring to see the headlines discussed. So there.
If anyone has a page number where this bomb was dropped, I'll go catch up. |

I’d love to get P.K.
partly because I’d like to get a stud Dman and partly to see people freak out. |

I'm assuming that this is originating from the same MSM troll that started all the Lucic to Vancouver rumours.
Just have the Province run a "Should they?" as one of their daily polls. That should put an end to it pretty quick. |

On Barrie my break the ice offer is...
Barrie/16oa for Sven/10oa/Lockwood
I know they want a top 6 F but we don’t have it unless Sutter turns Joe’s crank for depth & a vet C who can PK.
Leads up to my next offer...
Barrie/4oa for Sutter/OJ/JV/2020 1st
Combined cap hit is a wash.
Av’s Gain LHD depth & line versatility.
JV could shine with the change of scenery
2020 1st is a risk but we should improve so as to mitigate that to a degree hopefully.
We take a hit on cap cost control & depth.
Now smack me like i know you all will 😂 |
