Stecher is probably the best actual defenders you now have on the roster since you got rid of Tanev.

Hughes and Stecher a solid line that will get destroyed physically nightly.

All probably true but the D is an ongoing job getting towards the idea of more stability & offence down the road. Woo & Rathbone can develop properly & slot in when ripe. Other drafts/trades etc are to come in the following years.

Nothing i post is ever permanent & the final solution. It’s fluid & will continue to be so. Mostly i think upcoming drafts will further deepen our prospect pipeline but that takes time to do & evolve.

Here’s my idea. Don’t do something stupid. Don’t trade away players you have spent years investing in looking for a quick fix. This team is not going to be a contender next year, don’t pretend that adding a top 4 D and a top 6 winger will put you in that category.

Also, don’t be so naive that any team is going to give up the piece you desperately want for peanuts.

Top pairing 60 point defender is going to cost you a first, a quality prospect and a good player at a minimum. If you want to swap firsts, add another part.
