I’m content with what we have, only person I want is Panarin. If we don’t get him let’s re-sign Kreider, but if the feeling is we can land him, Kreider+ for 16 and Compher is a nice trade.

I think first things first, they need to make sure they are getting Kakko and not Hughes

because getting Hughes changes things up considerably, I am sure they have contingency moves in mind either way

Anyone hear of a guy named Grewe? He's supposed to be really good

Not hi on trading CK20 at all. If Panarin signs elsewhere we’ll need Kreider. The deal had better be awesome!

I’d like to fleece Toronto of Kapanen. Maybe take Marleau and then work something out do he can make it back to San Jose.
Think about a line up of without Panarin. Swap Panarin for Kreider although I’d still like to keep him.

Kreider Zib Kaako
Kravtsov Chytil Buchnevich
Lemieux Andersen Kapanen
Strome Holden Fast.

Skjea Trouba
Lindgren Fox
Hajek ADA

We got Holden back and he plays center now? Awesome!!!

"Really good" is a bit of a stretch but he's a real physical guy with some skill that could probably end up being the guy you love to have on your team but loathe if he's on another team. Early to mid second rounder probably.

Why would you not want Hughes

I’ll admit, there’s no way he’s taken there, but I think he’ll be a mainstay in the league. Like you said, going to be a player you want on your team, but hate to play against. I’d be willing to take a player like that in the late first over a lotto ticket in Leason.

I freaking can’t stand to have this conversation again. He thinks he’s not going to be good because he’s “small” and “won’t be good in the playoffs” because his NHL comp is Johnny Hockey. So stupid.

Bunch of reasons but at the end of the day if we draft him I’m not going to complain about it. There’s some definite red flags in there other than his size.

When was the last time scouts said the #1 overall pick could benefit from not playing the 1st year after they’re drafted?

I love the guy, I'd love for him to get to the Isles in the 2nd round. I think 26 is way too high with higher skill guys still on the board, but I don't think he'll stick around for too long in the 2nd. I think Leason is going to be a huge mistake for some GM if he's a 1st rounder too.

Couple other guys that are similar to Grewe are Jamieson Rees and Dmitri Voronkov, if you're interested in reading up on them

Which red flags? The comparison to Patrick Kane? The elite speed, vision, hands and hockey sense? The strong work ethic? Yeah def rather have Boessner....

Show me. Teach me something. Because I genuinely haven’t seen it. Really not trying to start an argument.
