considering what the ask is likely to be for Aho, you might have plenty of cap space available by the time the deal is done.

Probably something like NoPa, JvR, and two 1sts for Aho

Edit: if I was Carolina I wouldn't do that so idk what they would want

Ok.. am I crazy for thinking that Carolina was crazy for believing that a point per game player aged 21 would let himself get locked up for 8 years at 6 per? (numbers according to Kypreos apparently)

I hope teams get cold feet on drafting Caufield due to his size. Then we can swoop in there and take him at 11. Although all the attention he's had lately I doubt it happens.

Always potential for others to slide down though. I'm not interested in Seider at all, there are better players available at 11. If we draft a defenseman I hope it's Broberg or possibly Soderstrom.

As much as I want him I don't think Caufield makes it past 7.

well here's the thing: its not actually the 6 per that I find objectionable. Its the 8 year term. I can totally see making a serious offer of 6 per until his UFA year. But if you think that a kid of that caliber is going to let himself get stuck in a contract well below what he'll be pulling in as a free agent then I think you are crazy.

Besides the playoffs this is my favorite part of being a hockey fan. I myself have a glass of Johnny Walker Platinum neat. Enjoy.

Any surprise names get taken in the top-10? I'm talking guys other than Hughes, Kakko, Turcotte, Byram, Zegras, Cozens, Dach, Podkolzin, Caufield, Boldy, Broberg, Soderstrom, and Krebs because it seems like every mock I've seen has some combo of those 13 players being the top-10 and there's usually at least 1 that jumps up.

Is it the partial Achilles tear that makes you want to stay away from Krebs? Or something else?
