Toronto has so much money tied up with its forwards. Marner is going to get at least 9 million per year. Going to be interesting to see how they carve out space. The D core is in serious need of changes. Moving Marleau and Zaitsev is probably only the beginning.

I really like Alex Newhook, partially because it's an awesome name. But the fact that he played in the BCHL is a bit worrying. How does that compare to the CHL?

Step below, but some top end guys go there to prep for NCAA. Think zubrus, turris as players who were at the level. Typically they take a few extra years but that is usually their plan. I like Newhook’s path to the draft

I cant see that, the moves so far is to compete, Jake is a top winger in the NHL, the hole you create would be counter to the moves made.

i believe they go undrafted and then don't get a contract. Like I beleive Zemula would have went back into the draft if the Flyers didn't sign him.
