I don’t know. I think Chuck Fletcher is an idiot. I think it’s time to build a power offense after spending so long building from the back end. That’s just me. I’m sure Feanor will tell me I’m disconnected tomorrow.

Let’s see come Xmas ....where this team is with some new faces and a new coaching staff. It’s still to early to judge.

I’ll admit I was a little disappointed....but I also remember in the past where they made picks that disappointed me and then turned out to be Claude Giroux.

Really ?

G had 106 points in 55 games for the Gatineau Olympiques in the regular season
and 51 pts in 19 playoff games. That's back in 2007 when QMJHL scoring wasn't as high as it it ...

Although biased since I'm from Gatineau ..... Danny B town

Do you think Hexy is an idiot also since he spent all that time building the d?

Also the Flyers have multiple prospects in the farm system right now at the forward position.

They really have none at D

I understand the reasoning, and I'm sure York will turn out to be a good pick--but from a standpoint of this offseason being so important, not just because the team is lackluster, but because interest in the team is at an all-time low--it's not a sexy pick.

Considering the blues just won the cup because their backend was so solid, I’m fine with that approach.

I think they'll be in a much better position come Xmas then the last few years. This team is much deeper. I will be disappointed if they're not.

That’s great if the goal is to have farm system players.

You mean like if they would have drafted Caufield?

I just hope to see no 10 game losing streaks, and a good start for a change so they don’t have to dig themselves out of a hole again.

Unbelievable trade to get a mid 2nd in a murky 1st round. They moved down just 3 picks!

Hughes is 3 inches taller than Caufield and 8 pounds heavier. That’s not a lot.

The craziest thing is that when the players that went 11-13 blow away York, no one will come back to this thread. Same if York blows them away. Unless it happens next year.

I just wish they'd get a solid backup goalie. That's my biggest concern for this year.

Those picks can be flipped for nhl players in a year or two if they think they can go for it.
