Nashville BECAME a contender, for one season. They can't even get past the second round other than that literal ONE year where they did.
Nashville are NOT a contender. They are a solid team that should make the playoffs but the ONE year they made a run they traded for PK Subban that year and made a run...
So their drafting hasn't gotten them anywhere except for when they traded their franchise player, whom they drafted, Shea Weber for PK Subban.
Nashville has shown no signs of contending other than that one anomaly year. - BeadyEyedDouche
A. They’ve had 2 straight 100 point seasons and a 94 point season the last three years
B. They had 2 D men not named Subban who were top 15 in Norris votes
C. They’ve constantly had good D men from Suter to Weber to Josi to Ekholm to Girard who they traded, Seth Jones who they used to get Johansen

Botts said he was trying to move up from 7 but with the way things played out he didn’t need to. |

Also they tried trading 31 for players.
Stuff is going to happen soon. |

what is your point
Aside from the year they traded for Subban, they have NEVER gotten past the second round. That isn't what I would call a contender. That's literally what people call a "pretender". |

Sammy had all the skill but he LITERALLY THINKS THE WORLD IS FLAT. His IQ is probably 1 quotient above legally retarded. You have to interview these guys before you draft them. The second I heard Watkins open his mouth I knew he was beyond dumb. Dumb can get you by in college because no one plays defense but in the NFL you actually have to know how to think. And that guy cannot think if he truly believes that the world is flat. - BeadyEyedDouche
Pat Williams probably didn't get past 5th grade on his own merit, but goddamn was he a good football player. Brett Favre can't remember his own name and he's one of the best. |

This is how you suspend people for violations, be it PEDs or hits to the head, or anything else that would warrant a suspension. Make them lose pay. Make them experience struggle. Like the rest of us do if we (frank) up at our jobs.

Pat Williams was what, 6'3" and 350lbs..? He played literally one of two positions in sports he would be good at and if he was an energetic, bright and interesting guy when interviewed, where he finished in grade school doesn't matter. You don't need grade school to have common sense and I guarantee you he believes the world is round...
And Brett Favre has had ALL the concussions. His memory loss is literally a result of his numerous head injuries.
Some of the smartest people are high school and college drop-outs... Intelligence and education are two different things and despite all of Sammy Watkins' education, he is still dumber than a rock. |

Lost that NFL deal so he went to a league where his racism wouldn't be so obvious. |

No, I'm talking about when he was young still, before all the injuries. A friend of mine saw him at some card show in the early 90's and said he was totally nonsensical.
Yes, I'm saying Pat Williams is not smart. Hence the "on his own merit". |

LOL. Looks like he is trying to cover up his boner standing behind Kim. |

I like the constant D men picks.
Defensemen are valuable.
Nashville has become a contender by constantly drafting them and hitting on a few.
This is good.
Now you can move a Samuelson or another D prospect in a deal - OneKaneOneCup
Were you disappointed in Cozens at 7? We could’ve had Broberg.

That pick was pivotal if they are going to successfully pull off the zero forward concept though. 6 d men activated on the ice at the same time. F the goalie too. |

Sounds like Dylan Cozens will likely play in Lethbridge next season, though Botterill said the #Sabres will give the 18-year-old an opportunity to make the team out of training camp
Botts please let him develop |

Agree to disagree, their was talent everywhere. Can’t go wrong with cozens, tons of skill and character. You won’t be disappointed when you see him in a Sabres uni. |

I’m ok with both our picks, but...
BY FAR our biggest need imo was goal scorers
And we had a chance to draft the
“top 2 perceived goal scorers in this draft”
in Caufield & Kaliyev, and passed
Very curious choices imo |

Don’t really like that last pick, there were goal scorers there and he took another defensemen. Have to wonder there - SABRES 89
He may have a trade for an NHL forward on the cusp of taking place where we lose a defenseman or he has a good feeling about free agency.

You don't draft for need in the NHL. These kids are years away. |
