Samuelsson (last years draft) and Johnson seem like similar players

So definitely an odd pick

I was definitely thinking winger or maybe D so yes they might have looked at position.

With what they ended the night saying about Lavouie and Kalyiav or whatever maybe it’s fine to let them slide.

Both of them had their intensity, drive, consistency, and effort listed as negatives.

If they trade for one of the top 2 picks in round 2 and take Kaliyev or Lavoie, it's an excellent draft.

Makes sense.......

DMen are the new GOLD in the modern NHL

Dmen went often and early , wreeking havoc with mock draft boards.

But even before the excited run on D-men, this guy has been vetted and is a

SOLID PICK

He's more of a lockdown defender with the ability to move the puck out of his zone. More of a steady defender right?

I’m shocked, Botts had 2 cracks at congratulating the St. Louis Blues for winning the cup and didn’t do so.

Don’t really like that last pick, there were goal scorers there and he took another defensemen. Have to wonder there

Thank you. All these professional talent scouts on Hockeybuzz don’t have a clue on what they are talking about. Nobody really knows how theses guys are going to turn out. These players are so young.
