Correction - I dont want to ship him off. I think there's a 90% chance we would be worse off if we traded him.

However, there are many credible reporters mentioning his name as being out there....hence trying to wrap my head around what kind of deal it would take.... on a hockey rumor blog...

That said I think Letang is the #2 guy you dont move off this team....but that deal would be enticing if they take JJ with them.

However, I would be interested in a lesser deal with Shultz+for Domi+.

I agree Shultz is l ike Nisk....1 good year and is over inflated. He's by no means bad but he's due for a way overpayment.

I think I’d honestly rather trade Malkin than Letang. I feel like Malkin could net you a much better return and the team could stay competitive. Add a true 2C, a great prospect, a high draft pick, and possibly a top 4 dman. Trading letang seems like they’d be taking a step back unless a team blatantly overpays for him.

I have heard no one say the want to just ship Letang off. Saying you would be fine with trading him in one of these lopsided trade suggestions that gets thrown out isn't the equivalent.
