I think the plan is to get back to the playoffs this year and take a run by the following year. Next years draft doesn’t help that plan to much. Kreider for Compher+?

They might figure Buch/Kravtsov/Kakko/Chytil is the future for the next 5+ years and if they sign Panarin they don’t need to worry about adding towards right now. Kind of bizarre though, wish they traded down to grab Dorofeyev.

As long as we get rid of Shattenkirk and trade Kreider no. With FLA drafting Knight, Luongo possibly going on LTIR, I doubt they want to give Bobrovsky the 5+ years he’s going to want. Maybe Hank? We can retain some money, gives Knight 2 years to get ready for the NHL
