i want the drunk info - dbot
I’m still drunk...but I’ll say this. Quinn is a heroe with his age group. Tkachuk, Norris etc. Literally all the top American kids were with Quinn and they had a similar response. Why are you here when you have already been drafted? Common response “ Quinn’s bro is being drafted, we are here for Quinn. “ Quinn is a leader
Edit. The American top prospects are incredibly tight. Way more than the Canadian kids. Two of kids that were drafted by Boston said they wish they were drafted by Van. Just saying.
Also, I swear Quinn has grown. He looks 5’11 easy |

Juicy.
I know i wasn't alone by wishing we had taken some more from that US development program, i was wondering if Quinn was too.
Good reporting there Donny. |

That's hardly surprising, they all play together. |

noticed that in one of the photos. he's an inch or two bigger than jack.
the american program is so good because they're concentrated together. canada too diluted.
sounds like we got a gem in quinn.

Lol, what’s a kid going to say, no I think my GM is dumb and we need to hold on to 1st round picks? This is stupid, even for you Donny Boy. |

The “Canadian Program” is called the CHL and it still produces the largest number of the worlds best hockey players. The USNDP is basically an all star team that plays together for two years. Of course they’re tight. |

Maybe it was Aqua that said no because, ya know, it's his money? Not that I'm defending Benning at all yesterday, just don't jump to conclusions without knowing everything involved. |

True, money matters. But imagine for a minute that Benning acquires Marleau and a Toronto 1st, then flipped it to Tampa for Miller. We would have standing in a circle around Jim giving him the shower of his life. |

I just went through Cap friendly and I wonder how many teams actually need a 7x7 Dman and the answer is a lot fewer than you may think. I would say maybe Columbus
maybe Ottawa Maybe Buffalo but not much more . I am not sure any would commit 7x7 - VANTEL
It would (will) be a mistake for the Canucks to sign Gardiner. It will take less than a full season for Hughes to pass him on the depth chart. Then the Canucks will have a $7m 3rd pairing D for another 6 years. We female dog about Hutton and he’s making $2.8... |

(frank) ya, I totally agree it would have been the smart move! I would have thought Benning a good GM at that point. But we don't know all the parameters, so we can't fully blame Benning for Marleau without the details.
Who knows, now that the cap numbers are in maybe there will be another deal out there for JB, but I'm definitely not holding my breath. |

Good researching. Luv it when ppl say this n that then just move out players like it’s so easy to fit in the cap lol - Nighthawk
This has to be the most ironic thing on the internet today. Rosterhawk criticizing people for unrealistic rosters... |

I’ll play rosterhawk for a min...
To VGK:
Juolevi
Gaudette
To VAN:
Stastny salary dump (2yrs @ $6.5)
2020 1st
C.Miller
Gives VGK cheap young contributors w/ upside + saves them cap space to keep WKarlsson. Gives us “win now” secondary scoring, a young RHD under contract for 3yrs @ a nice number, plus washes out the 1st we’ll lose in the JT trade.
Much rather pursue trades (like this or similar) than sign Myers.
If we could then bury Loui, find a trade partner for Sutter (for a prospect/mid rounder) and throw $$$ at Panarin...
Panarin Petey Boeser
Pearson Bo Miller
Baer Stastny Leivo
Roussell Beagle MacEwen
Hughes Tanev
Edler Miller
Hutton Stecher
Sell Baer for a pick at the TDL after he puts up nice #’s with Stastny 5v5/on PP2 all year + plug in Hoglander who just lit it up on a line with Loui in Utica (lol)
Stastny, Edler off the books in 2yrs when Petey gets 💰 💰 💰. |

I’m down with that, getting Colin Miller really helps Benning’s win now mantra and solidly improves the “D”. |

Myers coming in for a chat. Price is probably going to be pretty high for him but it might be worth it. I'd still like JB to make a trade instead.
Possibltities
Jason Demers
Trevor Van Riemsdyk
Matthew Benning
Brendan Smith
Colin Miller
Most likely had for cheap to fill out the 3rd pairing role. |
