From your roster quick math and new contracts
Panarin cost probably 11
Leivo might be around 2 aah
Boeser 7
Renewed Hutton 2.3 (same as stecher)
The rest have contracts
Forwards 55 million
Defence 18.5
Goalies 4.7
I did factor in the performance bonus that Petey and Hughes will probably both hit for 3.3 million more
So total cost 78 million plus. Going to need 3 more players to fill out roster so probably 2 million more.
You would have to get rid of Sutter, Virtanen, Eriksson, Schaller, Spooner without holding any money back
Don't forget Luongo's cap hit of 800,000
Personally I think there could be a trade to be made with VGK just not that one. - manvanfan
Performance bonuses on ELCs dont count toward the cap. |

I am okay with speeding up the rebuild. I don't have any problem with watching a better version of last year. - VANTEL
Well if does speed up the rebuild and we do win getting us into a playoff spot we know the cost is a 1st round pick. |

Not until end of the season if they hit them, which then the next season you have less cap room to work with. |

That’s a poor characterization of (what are we calling him now?) Marwood. I feel confident in saying I can speak for him when I say: he did not care if it was the Russian or the American, it was always about who Bracket thought was the best player available. He never wanted to trade for a top 6 forward, it has always been about allowing the current drafted players to develop, and filling in around the edges. Trading for top 6 forwards costs more than the team can afford at this juncture. And while it’s only June 22nd, I’m positive he has never once advocated to sign any of the over priced UFA’s to stupid $ & term on July 1st, so I’m just heading off your third point. - 1970vintage
Thanks. I feel there is no point in responding to posts of all out lies & hyperbole, they are just trying to provoke me.

Karlsson 5.9x8 with vegas. Hayes contract looks very bad in comparison |

Anything is possible but I have seen multiple sources say they think it was involving the 10th overall going to Colorado - Redmile247
Benning said the cost was too high. He is a UFA in 9 months. Trade for his rights in the summer |

Wait it out. I know its cliché but maybe a local boy does want to play here. It happened with Hamhuis. |

So many teams are going to be lining up to try to take advantage of them, it might actually work out in their favour. Back & forth bids & offers until someone is overpaying to “help” their cap sitch. Genius. |

They are.
Karlsson 5.9
EAkin and Miller are 7.6
Biega .825
Saves them 1 million in cap space for anyone who they chose because Gaudette can go to the minors and not count. Clarkson's contract will come off the books as soon as season starts.
Not our problem to outright fix their cap space. Just give them enough wiggle room |

Kypreos was on SN650 Friday and gave us a peek behind the curtain. He basically said Canucks can't talk directly to Barrie but the media can . Just like when Tavares was a year away the media found out from JT that he wanted to come play at home.
He said Canucks have been advised Barrie wants to come home. |

No. There’s a cusion for elc contracts. https://www.google.ca/amp...g-bonus-performance-bonus - neem55
You aren't understanding.
Performance Bonuses may not be earned during the regular season is why they allow for the extra percentage. At the end of the season though if the performance bonuses are earned it will then count against the cap for the season. If at that point the team goes over the cap thanks to performance bonuses it is taken off of your cap for next season. |
