So trading away both of them at the TDL when you are going for a cup if they are in the playoffs. Or keeping them and risk losing them for free in the offseason would be a horrible move.

It is very possible still Tanev never plays another game for Canucks.They did try to trade him in the Zucker deal.

If Tanev and Stecher aren’t in your future plans you definitely trade them at the deadline ...then use those picks or whatever to help you make the playoffs the next year when your first rounder is gone

I think one of the reasons why Carol has such a high thread count is that we spend so much time trying to decipher these moves.

This is my hunch but I don't think Vancouver will sign a 6 year free agent unless it is Pananrin and I don't think that will happen either.

I see a 4 maybe 5 year offer only and I don't expect Tanev back unless it is a plan B
