On the other hand, AM is as good as gone if MM is gone, after what happened to Marleau. I am sure he understands it’s just a business, but he will also perceive the situation as lack of loyalty from the team, and being an American kid, I just don’t buy the idea he would have any kind of loyalty to Toronto when people closest to him are all gone and he has freedom to play wherever he wants to in 5 years.
