Any of you guys know about Zaitsev signing bonus for this year.

$3M...

Is that paid July 1 and then his actual salary is $1.2?

A valid question would be, if it would have been Marleau plus Johnsson for not much back, would that have been better? A guy drafted next year in the late first round, propably wouldn't be helping the leafs for some time. This is better IMO. I think it was ok. The move Benning made was horrible. JT Miller isn't worth his salary, much less a first rounder - especially if that turns out to be a lottery pick. Tampa fished them in big time.

I’m fine, not something to worry about.

Rather Johnsson or Kap then the pick.........today anyways.

I know most of you don't watch Baseball, but the video review is even worse in Baseball than it is in the NHL.

They get so much poop wrong, it's pathetic.

Like, the Yankee player clearly and obviously just trapped a ball, and video review was clear as day. But nope. They called it a catch.

That's hardly comparable, Queefs have had high picks since the 60s. It wasn't until the last couple years that the Habs have had higher picks. It doesn't take a donkey to know it's harder to find diamonds in the rough in the later rounds of the draft

I couldn't hate the Maple Queefs more but not in the sense that you have to like something in order to hate it. I hate how delusional the fan base is and how the Queefs media slurps and over hypes everything they do and poops on the Habs. As a diehard Habs fan growing up in Ontario it gets tiresome. It is just fun to see how triggered some of you get when I bring facts and logic to the table

As for knowing that Durzi will be the better player is just simply because I follow all prospects closer than than the average fan. I've been following prospects before it became "cool" to follow and cover them like 5 years ago. Most of you have no clue what you're talking about when it comes to prospects. That should answer your "closet Queefs fan" delusion

They are trying to move Zaitsev. They won't move Nylander. Way too risky.

Even if they move Zaitsev and take nothing back, they still have not nearly enough to upgrade the defense.

If Kapanen 3.4, Johnsson 3.6 and Marner 10.5, then they have approximately 6.7M left to sign
3 Dmen (7),
1 Forward (13)
1 Goalie (2)
1 Other player

For a 23 man roster.

... and their roster would already have 5 players making under 1M

Someone, has to go, and even then, they are going to have a bunch of players under 1M.

Well of course someone has to go...........

They don't have a 1st next year. They would use the high amount of forwards they have.

Kadri/Brown are going to go imo...outside chance on Willie if the right deal comes a long.

Pesce, Larsson, Gost, Barrie, Faulk all line up in value with Kadri...if Barrie and Faulk sign that is.

Hamonic is a good fall back option.

They have too many forwards...Babs is high on Mikhalev, Bracco is NHL ready.

Obviously.

But it's clear by now that that was impossible.

Nylander can play C.

They can trade for a cheaper 3C.

There is 100 days until puck drop. GMS are allowed to make more than one move.

I would argue they are much more desperate for a RHD than a center. Nylander can play C....We can only hope Liljegren is ready and its very unlikely hes ready for top 4 mins.
