It's going to be an interesting few years for the local teams. The Metro Cup is going to be real damn hard to win, and I can see there being a bit of an arm's race amongst the Devils, Islanders and Rangers which has already started in a sense.
Seems like too many moving parts when they just need to clear space and that is a TON of money for the Rangers to take on. If I had to pick one that I think the Rangers would have interest in, it's probably Stastny. Not saying I think they do/will want him, but if I had to pick between him and Patches...it's him. Only two years left at a reasonable number and he'd be a good middle-six guy to let them ease Kravstov in in a smaller role. - eichiefs9
So whats Kravtsovs role? Will he be a C or RW? Cause I think his natural position is RW and theres no way he plays ahead of Kappo and Buch.

I have no idea, you guys would know that better than I would. I was under the impression he was more likely to get a shot at center...especially given the fact that the Rangers' system isn't exactly brimming with talent at that position and Chytil seems like his spot is going to be on the wing.

Its a log jam of 🤷♂️ at C and RW. People dont want to give up on Lias, but at some point I feel like you need to just cut the cord.

I've been kind of hoping for awhile he's a 3rd line RW. I want us to acquire a 2C. A third line of Lemieux, Chytil, and Kravs would be a matchup nightmare for other teams.

It’s looking like a NYI / NYR bid war for Panarin is about to commence

I wouldn’t commit to either guy at RW yet, there is a LW also. They both shoot LH so I’m sure Kakko or Krav could adapt to playing there
Vegas is the next team up that's ripe for the picking. I saw something over the weekend speculating that they were likely going to be trying to move Pacioretty or Stastny to accommodate Karlsson's new deal. - eichiefs9

You don't really have to do either. He can toil away in Hartford. That's the benefit to having team control over young players. Nothing wrong with building a strong farm team.
What do we do with the logjam of ‘meh’ on the bottom 6? Namestnikov, Howden, Nieves, Belesky? - aecliptic
Nam - gotta go
Howden - stays
Belesky - Ba-bye-lesky
Boo - would be nice to have in Hartford just in case, but I could see how he'd rather go elsewhere.
But then there's also,
Vesey - gotta go
Lias - hasn't shown he's above bottom 6 yet
Lemeiux - not supplanting other top 6 wingers, so he's in this mix, too.
