If they want more offer sheets then they need to really adjust the compensation. 4 firsts is insane. If they drop it to 3 then we’d see offer sheets fly left and right. |

A quarter century later and I still don't know whether having Healy helped or hurt Richter/ the team. To this day I still can' believe Keenan played him in the playoffs. |

You are confusing a lot of people with Captain from the isles thread.
I have a gigantic gf that I have to feed with a front end loader. Chiefs likes trannies. Jimbo has 62 cats. TPC has multiple restraining orders against him.............. |

When I was a kid I loved Beezer. I was on that side of the argument in the early 90s and was upset when he left. I wonder though, how Richter's career would have been different if he wasn't just jerked around for so long. I guess being 1B to in his prime Beezer is one thing, but he had to worry about taking a back seat to Glenn Healy. Then, after Healy, watched the team draft Cloutier (I'm going to exclude Blackburn since at that time we kinda knew Richter was shot).
Glenn Healy himself was fine. He's about as good a backup that existed in the league at that time. He shouldn't have been a threat to Richter though |

Gonna be interesting to compare the actual advanced analytics from the new technology to Corsi
Player and puck tracking technology
After testing at the 2019 National Hockey League All-Star Game, the NHL plans to deploy player and puck tracking systems to all 31 NHL arenas prior to the start of the 2019–20 season.[4][5] This technology was developed by SAP and Sportvision, using microchips embedded inside pucks and jerseys. It enables on-air features such as speed displays, puck tracking graphics (reminiscent of the FoxTrax graphics utilized in the late 1990's by previous U.S. national NHL broadcaster Fox, also developed by Sportvision), and marker graphics hovering above players.[6] |
