He is what he is, a 40-50 Point player, I don’t think the 1st and 3rd is crazy for him.

31 point $4 million man Vlad Namestnikov has to come off our books. What’s an expected return for him?

That doesn’t bother me, he’s 21. Look at how many guys took a few years to figure it out. Big reason why I’m not so quick to give up on Andersson.

Meier- 34 games 3G 3A / 81 games 21G 15A / 78 games 30G 36A

Oilers are not going to simply give Puljujarvi away --- former 4th overall in draft. No team is going to pay high price for him with his poor stats and coming off hip surgery. I have sinking suspicion he is going to go back to Europe. If he plays well there, then he may build back up some value. Oilers will retain his NHL rights. Just my 2 cents...

Oilers said they’re willing to give him a change of scenery but are going to just give him away. He definitely has value, a mid round pick and roster player might interest them.

Im kind of surprised to see how many people want to see Kreider stay, especially considering how much money he will want, and likely, not live up to. Honestly, I think hes been a major disappointment. His highest point total is 53 points and hes gonna command 7mil per year? Never scored more than 30 goals, never more than 25 assists, never played a full 82 games. Ill pass.

Id rather give that money to Duchene so we have a solid 1-2 punch down the middle where it matters most.

It’s more if we miss on Panarin, sign Kreider. No room for both. Kreider needs to get that edge back he had early in his career, he’s been less physical since first entering the league. If he asked for 6.5 over 5 I’d sign him in a second, 7x7 and I’m probably trading him.

The one problem is were overloaded on the right side with Kaapo, Buch, Fast, Kravtsov.

But then my next question, if JT got a 1st and a 3rd.
Whats the trade value for Vesey and Kreider?

Remember though that JT Miller was under contract for several more years. Both Kreider and Vesey are in the last year of their deals, so arguably the return will be less. Also, I think Canucks REALLY overpaid, so that may not be a valid comparable either.

Kreider is a 1st, good prospect and depending on the prospect could add a 2nd/3rd.
If it were to BOS let’s say, 1st Frederick+
COL could be Compher and 2020 1st or Kaut+

Agreed Miller was under contract. Vesey I don’t expect much from, maybe a team like EDM would be interested if he were willing to sign an extension there. BUF was rumored to be interested but that went no where. I think before they trade Kreider/Vesey/Buch etc they want to see what happens with Panarin.

Fast is very expendable, but to be honest I don’t mind keeping him bc we’re talented enough now I think he stays on the 4th line. I have no problems with him there but it drove me insane when AV would use him in the top 6. I don’t think we’ll have that problem anymore.

Definitely not a problem anymore.

Our problem is on the LW and C. Outside of Lemieux, it could be all new guys there. As far as C goes, too much uncertainty after Zib.
