He’s played 83 games
Has 13 goals and 30 points.
He’s 20.
He’s been just fine - OneKaneOneCup
And he played less sheltered minutes than he was supposed to due to Berglund quitting |

It’s a situation in which we will keep a close eye on all scenarios - washedup20
He has money (Cap)
He has a plan
He has his coach (not ownerships)
It’s been 2 years
Yes, the ROR trade was a knee jerk reaction. Also I will fault him in Dec/Jan for not making a move (coach/trades) when this team desperately needed it.
Botts will learn from these mistakes and change the culture/make up of this roster.
Give the guy some time, watch this week and enjoy!!! |

Nope, just sit back and relax! - Irish 14
I can see it now:
- He signs Duchene to a big deal
- He trades for Eakin and Miller from Vegas
- He trades Ristolainen for an impact winger
Everybody still complains because the Duchene deal is too large, the impact winger is overrated, and the Vegas players are meh. |

Casey Mittelstadt is picked in 2018, is already a full time Sabre
Alex Nylander is picked in 2016, isn’t even a full time Rochester American in the playoffs - OneKaneOneCup
B
But, but, but. But...he is only 26.
Ya, I know 21, will be 22 next season and still can't be a top dog in the A.
Bust.
But hey, let's hold onto him. |

I want no part of Duchene long term.
I’d rather acquire a solid 3C and let Mitts and Cozens develop into a 2C/3C role in 2 years.

I wasn’t disappointed in our picks his the lack of trades. Like heck. Vesey for a pick would be been easy |

Is this the same logic as Josh Allen last year?
I think this board beat the living poop out of that fallacy as well. |

Still think botts doesn’t like the CHL for some reason 1 player in 3 years - gerbe75pts
I don't think it's that he doesn't like the CHL, but more that he likes college and European players. Guys that play against 18 year olds at least and grown ass men at best. |

CHL.
And yes, he rightfully justified that unless you're getting a sure fire talent out of the C, it's much more worth drafting outside of it because of the extra development years that these kids clearly need.
Most recent example, Cliff Pu. We liked him as a prospect, had to sign him based on his current trajectory at the time, sent him on his way to Carolina, went to the ECHL. Had he been a non CHL player, he'd have cooked at least for one more year, and the team would be able to decide, is this kid worth signing. Same with Brycen Martin, Vaclav Karabacek, Eric Cornel. Useless signings. - TheSabresTaco

Yup think of it in terms of low risk high reward stocks
You can either take one you can only have for 2 years before deciding to invest more in
Or you can have 4 years to decide to invest more in

Give Botts the week, you will be surprised! - Irish 14
He needs to buy/trade for second line scoring. 3 NHL players
We'll see if can do it before the start of the season.
Otherwise this team will be drafting top 5 and wasting Eichel's time here.

That's part of the problem, nobody wants any part of players. what we have will not compete with other teams, no matter what we have at the NHL level or AHL playing in the NHL. This team has done nothing for 50 years. |

But I get it. We have scrubs. How the heck are we getting a decent player |
