Not at all. One of the darkest and most insipid regimes in the history of the planet.

Funny about all of this is that when I said Bonnie Marner seems trailerpark trash (when the mothers went on a trip with the team and she was displaying some very annoying behaviour in the stands) and Marner seems to have a very strange family, most of you told me I was wrong - and some even displayed the for her.

Marner is a guy that comes from a family that is your typical lowlife family - a family which less and less was concerened by 'morals' due to their son's success. That's not to say that Marner is a bad kid - I don't think so at all.

By the way - Marner has every right to negotiate a deal he likes; we're not even 1st of July yet. Marner got less in his first contract (10% less than max on 1st contract) and since he got more points last 3 seasons compared to Matthews, almost similar PPG in regular season and a better PPG in playoffs, he is very right to ask for a very similar AAV as Matthews.

- MaximusAurelius

So Marner's mom dancing in the crowd to that dumb Fortnight dance that Marner does is trash? Sounds like a (frank)ing mom mirroring her kid and having fun with other moms.

The dads trash, though. I won't argue that. There's plenty of evidence of it.

And Marner has no (frank)ing business being even close to Matthews is annual salary.

You're welcome for this knowledge.

I'm not a baby expert, but is that a little small? Or is it average?

Either way, congrats!

So I'm wondering if Johnsson and Kappy are "done" but not announced because they have a couple of options for both (short term and longer term) depending on what MM costs.

Also wonder if MM and Leafs have a 3 year bridge on the table.

If Mackenzie's numbers are right and assuming Zaitsev stays and the bottom end of the roster is filled with young Ahl'ers ....then the Leafs have 9.7 to spend on MM.

I'm still liking my 6 x 9.5.

3 years would still keep him RFA, no?

Get 'er done, Dubas.

I'll give you heinen and debrusk, but Carlo is a difference maker. He had the lowest GA/60 of any defenseman that played over 1,000 minutes in the NHL at 22 yo. His defense pairing was with Krug, so it's not like he's a defensive stalwart. He doesn't move the needle on the offensive side, but if you're elite in your own end I'll take that.
- RickJames77

I can't argue. You have far more awareness of him than I do. My opinion of Carlo was more formed from what I recalled from the playoffs. I saw good things, but also some mediocre things.

Granted it's not my team, so I'm not going to be as attentive.

In all honesty, it's a little hard to debate how good a defensive defenseman is.

So it does look like that right? Not just me? I thought it was maybe just the context of the convo that I saw that.

But why?
Does he defend well? (y/n)
Can you see him defend well? (y/n)

if you answered yes to both above then it you have the go ahead to call said defenseman and good defensive defenseman.

Science eh, its good.

Both of my kids were early (5 weeks, 3 weeks).

Yet it takes them 30 minutes more than me to get ready to leave the house, whenever we go anywhere.

Seemed like a decent pick reading about him, one of the youngest players in the draft. Apparently he’s a feisty little player, plays with an edge. He was rated in the 20s by a few different people. This is my expert opinion of a player I have never heard of before Saturday.

back to hockey talk because that's what this forum is meant for.

Leafs need to give up at least one player to add something on D (in addition to Zaitsev that is).

Would you rather trade:

1/ Kadri
2/ Kapanen
3/ Johnsson
4/ Nylander
5/ Marner

?

personally I would trade all of Nylander, Kadri and Johnsson (+ prospects/picks), and get 2 D and a 3C + leftwinger back.

If I would have to chose, it's Nylander that is the most obvious piece to trade.

My brother came about as early as little Aurora Lynn did. Was supposed to be late June but was born on May 31st. He's a (frank)ing giant now. All the best to your little one.
