We'll find out.

On book 8, this series is a slog. I regret going all in on it.

I started reading them again so I'm refreshed before the Amazon show comes out. I'm on book 5 and have already forgotten most of what happens in book one.

I've been reading them all in a line and it's hilarious that book one is such poop compared to the others in terms of stylistic writing. So generic and bland, then it gets a little more interesting...then it's just rehash and world building, rehash and world building.

My favourite is that Perrin goes from being this short, stocky awkward guy in book one and by the end of book three he's just this huge man for some reason all of a sudden.

Are you ok? Get your head check for brain injury. We are all seriously concerned for you. My god.

How on earth did you just try to play off how smart and intelligent you are by telling us all how well you did in your predictions, but your predictions center around "not possible to beat Boston" and "Bruins in 5" did you watch the (frank)ing games? Have you looked at the results?

First, you started in about me being wrong and stupid. You're an insulting little Leftist that probably doesn't believe in God, but if you do, then that's a point for you. We all have our opinions and thoughts about how our favourite hockey team should be built. I also find an issue with the group-think among many on here. Get into a spat with one, you have to deal with the echo-chamber of nasty rhetoric.

I also see that you slagged someone about diversity. I couldn't give a flying fukc about diversity, because it's not a strength, it's a hindrance, The best person, regardless of all the categories should get the position. I've been there and experienced that, inside the Canadian Civil Service. It's why the Civil Service is so out of touch with the reality of average Canadians.

On the Leafs, we have to realize that Dubas sees the Leafs as a speed team and builds the team accordingly. The draft reinforced his vision and we can't expect success, without talent that has many different ways to compete. Defense, size, scoring, goaltending.......all must be addressed. For now Dubas gets a mulligan, but he needs to make the appropriate moves, after July 1st.

Yes

and a lot of it is seemingly meaningless, like he just references how strong someone is every once in a while as a reminder, but it's wildly inconsistent.

"The Aes Sedai are the most powerful women in the world."

"Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve are the strongest women in centuries"

"These wise ones have women almost as strong as Nynaeve"

"These random lurker women are stronger than any Aes Sedai"

"The Damane are stronger than any Aes Sedia, but not Egwene"

"Rand could probably take on ANYBODY"

"Rand would likely lose to Egwene and Nynaeve"

"Rand is only a little stronger than Mazrim Taim"

"The Forsaken are the strongest people of the age of Legends"

"Nynaeve takes out one one on one"

I was basically away from media all weekend - are Johnsson and Kapanen officially signed yet? I'm reading LeBrun's notebook, and it has some pretty hard numbers in it on their resigning.

This rebuild has taken a very strange direction. The Leafs find themselves (using this superstars and scrubs format they have), not actually having many players that they can/want to trade away to improve their back end.

With the lack of next year's (and this year's) 1st round pick, it'll be interesting to see whether or not the Leafs can actually get round to upgrading their defense sufficiently enough to truly compete, before Matthews, Nylander, Tavares and Marner are out of contract.

I personally feel (only in my opinion) that the rebuild has gotten offtrack and will require some really hard work to get it back on the straight and narrow.

Hopefully they do.
