no offense, but the Sabres don’t have much to offer for Malkin besides picks/prospects. If the Sabres were willing to trade Dahlin then maybe, but I doubt they’d do that |

One is a ppg player the other is not
It's not as simple as the "free one"
Especially since the "free one" will cost you more than the ppg player will cap wise |

Nice read Mike! Malkin (3 years left)
Carry over post:
My picks 2/3 of these:
- Trade for either Hall & Zucker.
- Sign Forwards - Simmons, Ryan Dzingel or Donskoi
- Defense - Ghost or Miller (once 55 is gone)
**if Myers signs elsewhere, the Jets will be very agressive for D help - Risto might get us Elders or maybe we add - Nylander, next years 1st etc... for Laine.
Possibly some targets!!
Taylor Hall, LW / New Jersey Devils
As TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta recently reported, Hall is not presently interested in signing an extension with the Devils. If that remains the case (and Hall has said he’s being patient), the Devils might be forced to trade him. He has one-year left on his deal and could command a significant return.
Phil Kessel, RW / Pittsburgh Penguins
The Kessel trade rumours have picked up a little earlier than normal this summer, and got kicked into high-gear when he nixed a move to Minnesota. The Penguins are trying to shake up part of their roster and plan on dealing Kessel at some point this off-season.
Jason Zucker, LW/RW / Minnesota Wild
Minnesota almost traded Zucker twice — once to Calgary during the season and once in May for Kessel, who nixed the deal — and it’s safe to say the writing is most certainly on the wall. The Wild plan on moving him as they continue to makeover their roster
Shayne Gostisbehere, D / Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers are expected to be very active this summer, both in free agency and on the trade front, and given the team’s desire for another top-six weapon, Gostisbehere could be shipped out for help up front.
Jesse Puljujarvi, RW / Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers and new-GM Ken Holland are expected to have a conversation with Puljujarvi and his agent about his future in Edmonton. If there’s room to move forward and put the past behind them, he could stay. Otherwise, he’ll be a trade chip for Holland to use this summer.
Colin Miller, D / Vegas Golden Knights
All of a sudden, the Golden Knights are up against the salary cap. They can free up $5.25M in space by placing David Clarksson on LTIR, but that won’t give them the space they need. Moving Miller and his $3.875M hit might give them extra breathing
room.
Joe Pavelski, 34, is coming off of a five-year, $30 million contract and will likely see his salary climb well north of $6 million per year on his new deal.
Wayne Simmonds is in the final-year of a six-year, $23.85 million contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1. He also owns a 12-team no-trade list and will have a say in where he ends up |

For everyone saying Johansson as a tier two UFA. He was looking for 6m+ or that is what is being reported. |

Oooooh this is a goo one Mike. I’m taking a hard pass on both and I’m asking my GM to get creative. Sign some secondary players that want to be part of this team and let Sir Ralph build something. |

Just some info on Hall
Shero was asked if he would be open to trade Hall and he said F*** no we aren't trading hall
Hall loved that the devil's traded for Subban and said at the end of the year the devils needed more talent, I don't think Shero is done yet either.
Both sides have said that the talks have been positive and they will pick up |

The fact that you have the gall to type out Dahlins name makes me doubt you watch NHL hockey. Jesus man |

Malkin.
Much shorter term. Probably still a better player at this point. Unfortunately, the Sabres don't really have the assets to acquire him, but if Ryan Wilson is to be believed, Jim Rutherford is a moron so maybe Ristolainen plus gets it done (kidding...sort of). |

Irish,
Scandella to Montreal for 2020 4th (WIN). No team would be crazy enough to trade for Bogo coming off his second hip surgery in 14 months.
I don't think we have the trade capital aside from Risto to make a big trade. And I don't want to move Risto, you'll have a gaping hole at RD. And I doubt Botts will trade our 1st rounders either.
Just my thoughts. |

I don't think it's a probably, he is a better player, the only issues is his body might be breaking down a bit.
If he played a full 82 games this season he finishes around 90 points |

Bogo has value. He's servicable when available. If you can expect him for 60ish games, on a one year contract, that can still be attractive. Not that you'll get anything good for him. |

This make sense..... the cap dumps are easy enough. It’s acquiring the talent via trade that is the hard part.
We don’t have anything worth trading
