Gotta do something. I still like the Dzingel idea if they aren't thinking big with trades. Eichel, Dzingel, Mitts and Erod is fine for center depth. I'd be fine if they re-signed Pommer as well

Girgs-Erod-Pominville was pretty good as a true 4th line last year for the first 5 games of the season

Means, besides him, we'll have to wait and see on Malone, Elie, Cornel, Dougherty and Martin.

Lavoie - Nothing much is happening around the league over the last few days. A lot of teams have turned their direction to July 1st. I was told that the #Sabres are shopping Rasmus Ristolainen hard. Nobody told me that he's asked for a trade, but we'll see how it turns out.

Dzingel has played center in the NHL, unlike Leino before we signed him.

I agree we should raise the bar, but currently the bar, for me, is set at "PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO ANYTHING"

The last 2nd round pick to play meaningful minutes with Buffalo is 2012's Jake McCabe. If you don't want to count Luke Adam, it's 2006's Mike Weber and Jhonas Enroth.

Great work, Buffalo. However, they drafted Lemieux, Compher and Guhle, none of which have played meaningful minutes for Buffalo, but should carve out decent NHL careers.

Hoping that trend changes with Asplund, Davidsson, UPL and Samuelsson.
