Off hocley topic completely, but who's the genius who thought cars don't need donuts anymore - or god forbid a full size spare. Tire inflation kits are bullpoop
- jcragcrumple

It all has to do with the extra weight and mpg that is required. Some say it also is because automakers thought it was dangerous to change tires on the side of the road.

Interesting. I would counter that it's more dangerous to be up poop Creek without a spare on the side of the road. I would gladly exchange 1 mpg for a full sized spare

dont let them fool you.. a spare tire costs lets say $50.. and $50 x 1,000,000 cars sold is a poop load of money

Upgrade the bottom 6 and we will be a much better team, I don’t see the Sabres getting anything big in free agency,

Skinner - Eichel - Olofsson
Sheary - Mittlestadt - Reinhart
Rodrigues

Mittlestadt has no business being 2nd line center, they have figured that out.

To be fair, that wasn't the plan, even last year. The Berglund disaster forced that to happen. That falls on Botterill, but I don't think he's that incompetent to think there wasn't a problem there.

I pretty much figured all that out regardless, he has no business at 2nd line center. Like I said, they already know he's no gonna be 2nd line center.

I see Mittelstadt a lot like Reinhart. Starting with his 9 game tryout when everyone was barking about him being a bust (and people were indeed calling him a bust), Sam has just gotten better and better and better...I think its simply because his body needed to evolve into that of an adult. Theres a ton of talk about "he has a mans body" for guys like Jack, Ovie back in the day, Laine, etc. I think Sam still can get better as he gets a little more physically developed...

Casey I think is in the same place. He just needs to evolve for a year or two. Giving up on him would be a big mistake, in my opinion

He may be better suited for the wing right now. Maximize his skill while he physically develops.

I'm almost waiting with bated breath about what player Ek will use for the Sabres to get better.

I'm guessing that his 31 players for 31 teams indicate that he has 1 player per team, but then again I could be completely off.

He'd be the best option here.

Not sure of term/dollars, or if he would even want to come to Buffalo.

The term would be too long, and the celery too high.

42 points in 50 games last season

8 points in 7 playoffs games last season

53 points the season before and 53 points in the season before that

He is still a very good player

He has 2 years left at $6.5 million

He would have to waive his NTC to come here
