Roeper if Marner signs an offer sheet...

- gergeswillems

If Marner signs an offer sheet even though he is my favorite player then good riddens to him.....and him saying he loves the Leafs and wants to stay for a long time....trade him for top D +++

C vs W. UFA vs RFA. Big difference but why am I trying to explain logic to you
- Takemedrunkimhome

The issue is, Nylander's stats put him in line with DRaisaitl/Pastrnak at the time they signed their deals.

You guys are underrating him bad.

No Kevin Hayes is a gross over payment too. Just saying that Nylander with his limited sample size and stupid contract is not worth a top pairing D man on the trade market.
- DEDDIE

GMs don't think it's a stupid contract at all. Look what's happening around the NHL.

Draisatl just had 50/105. He's also got a decent physical and defensive game. Your idea of what Nylander is, frankly, isn't in line with reality.

Edit: Nylander is 6 months younger than Drai and has 55/107...for his career

Why are you including this season for his 8.5 million negotiations?

The numbers are my reality.

Nylander shot 5% this season. It will never, ever happen again.

Now Point wants more money than Marner.....with all these huge dollars to these guys they are going to have to cut the roster down to less players.....maybe eventually we will see just 8 players per team playing the whole game....just joking but this is getting ridiculous

Yeah, and Tavares went home to play, while Marner is already here.

Thanks for playing. Please try again.

I'm not sure you understood his point and it's your point that is off base. Thanks for playing. Please don't try again

Classic Leafs fan valuation of their own players!
Nylander is a career .677/ppg player and over an 82 game season that extrapolates to
55 pts per season.
How the Frank do you guarantee minimum 70 pts?
He offers nothing but offence and at just under 7mm/year he bent the Leafs over.

- DEDDIE

Congrats taking his rookie year and last year into account.
Look at his 2 full seasons, over 60...as a 20 and 21yr old...
I guess no chance he can improve on 61pt seasons as a 23yr old. Washed up...

Did Nylander do anything in the playoffs? Is he a perimeter player or does he go to the net... Ever?

Nylander for Ghost not even close....Ghost is not a top defenseman
- Leafcup

leafs do not have cap room for a "top dman" but ghost would fit nicely into your cap posing as a top 2 dman

Trade Nylander for a D man. Nylander has great skill but is gutless. Unwilling to give or take a hit. Come playoff time, that is bit of an issue

Marner might only be 3rd or 4th best rfa this year but he wants to be paid like he’s the best. Point, Rantanen are better and I’d say and Thachuk and Liane are right there. Marner thinks he should be paid as much as the best 5 on 5 goal scoring centre in the league which is the problem.
