No state income tax in Nevada.
Forget who tweeted it, but Karlsson nets the same amount of money he would playing on an $8M deal in Toronto - eichiefs9
Ahhh didn't realize that, but makes sense.
JvR and Hayes both making 7 million...my tummy still hurts. |

Yeah that's uh...sub-optimal.
I knew Hayes would get a big deal since Nelson re-signed and he was the second best center on the market behind Duchene...but that's probably not the best allocation of cap space. |

I don't mind adding Hayes, but NOT for more than 6m OR longer than 5 years OR with a NMC. The trifecta of (frank) ups. |

Are you sure? Because there's been accounting experts who have said the no state tax thing barely makes a difference.
Also, everyone ignore the endorsement $ in Toronto. It is massive for Marner. |

Pay yoyr top stars, don't pay so much for supporting guys like JVR and Hayes. Leafs never had any interest in signing JVR. Too one-dimensional. |

Am I sure that somebody tweeted that? Yes.
Nobody cares about Marner's endorsement money, except you and Marner. |

Of course because it's a big Toronto advantage. It must be ignored.
Toronto's endorsements+ signings bonuses mean more than no state tax. |

Teams will line-up for Nylander.
Never had less than 61 points in a full season, shot 5% last year (No chance that occurs again) and dominated at the World's and just turned 23.
For reference Nelson just got 6 million per for 1 50 point season. And given his age next season (28) most of the contract will be his post-prime years. |
