If this team doesn't make changes I say we start this now. Want to be on top of it before the season starts

I remember Goose talking about that her and her friends would put money together and buy the like 9 packs and then split them between them. I thought it seemed like a good idea.

If I wasn't 855 miles away I'd do it. I don't have the time to be a season ticket holder. lol.

- JVince11

Yeah, minipack makes sense too.

And to be clear, I split my seasons with a group, no way I had time to go to more than 10 games a year, especially when they suck.

called the sabres to cancel my seasons yesterday. It was an awkward conversation because they ask why you are canceling after all these years. I explained that I was going to cancel last year until we won the Dhalin lotto, but I needed to see some real progress before I was interested in making that investment again.

I was told that the Blues won the cup after a coaching change...so, you never know.

Yes, it is feeling like this year is all about letting the kids get older and blaming last year's failure on PH.

- Angler

wow, using ror and the blues as a reason to keep your season tickets

you can't make this stuff up

I think that 2000 number is very overstated and even if it is not I bet the majority of them pass when their name is called.

The number of people I know/ have heard that gave up their tickets this year is pretty large.

the only way we see change, is if a few bottom 6 vet get long term injuries

Kucherov sux he wasn't franchise altering. Neither were any of the RFAs before 2019.

He never waited to sign with other teams ..

If the team is that bad it is going to get very ugly.

People start questioning Eichel, the arena is a disaster (every more than it already is) and people walk out.

Bring back the screaming DJ though.

Being the 50th season, this could set up to be all time ugly if things don’t go well

Its almost as if an oil mogul and his wife bought two sports franchises and got too hands on without knowing a (frank)ing thing about either.

Those are your most recent. What's really hard is to think of an offer sheet that wasnt matched by the team that held the RFA rights.

Nick Baptiste wasn't going to do anything for us anyways so the trade is atleast wash. To your point - maybe they just didn't see it in him?

Realistically none.

My issue with the offer sheet is the compensation, and that the player is then viewed as a money chaser. It's easy to sell the narrative that Marner wanted the money, and wouldn't take less to stay here. He's selfish and won't be successful.

The players need to look out for their future. They are allowed to explore these opportunities (Cal Peterson, Jimmy Vesey), and they should find the best fit for them. They don't have to sign a $15 million dollar deal for a garbage team unless they really want the money.

They need to restructure the RFA market so that it's more lucrative for the teams and the players. UFAs are 27 and usually are not going to live up to the max contract that they will desire (Duchene and probably Skinner).

Until the players realize that they are missing out on making better career choices because they have the option to, then nothing will change.

I would rather have marner then girgens, pysyk, tj brennan and tage

pretty simple

if adding marner with eichel, dahlin, skinner, casey, reinhart etc

if with all of that, your still a non playoff team, serious issues that puts you at a melting point as a sabres fan

- homiedclown

Joe Partypooper here. The player must want to sign that sheet...or any contract for that matter...

just sayin

the sabres have drafted 2 players in the first round that played in an all star game

jack and vanek

so 1 in 15 years

I would move 4 first round picks to get an all star

I cannot bear another season like that. We have some talent. Sure, it's great to get those top prospects, but I'm tired of high draft picks.

The last 1st round pick that the Penguins have had that's played significantly on their roster is Crosby I believe. Maybe you could throw Jordan Staal in there too, but they don't pick in the first round because they trade the picks, and yet they still seem to be doing okay.

Botterill is from that model. So make it work here.

Zemgus.

Granted it doesn't really count since Latvia got him there.

But still, he's technically an all-star.

I would also move any and all assets necessary to get the best roster available
