Joe Partypooper here. The player must want to sign that sheet...or any contract for that matter...
just sayin - Michael Pachla
it's the sabres, they have to overpay
I'd throw point, marner, aho or rant
any of them
here is a 7 year contract at 13.5 per
one will sign
any of them is better then tage, girgens, pysyk and tj |

Zemgus.
Granted it doesn't really count since Latvia got him there.
But still, he's technically an all-star. - thatsapickle
yeah I didn't want to add that joke to the list

So now He is a franchise changing player?
What franchise changing players have gotten offer sheets? - ImThatGuy
This is a different time I don’t think we ever had this many players that are open to getting offer sheets usually players are very comfortable with their team and they sign |

I feel like jack might have an issue with someone making more than him. That’s just my opinion, I don’t know him. |

add in grigorenko, Armia, risto (torn on if he should be here), kassian, persson, zagrapan, zadorov, and the endless list of other garbage picks we've had. |

If the team is that bad it is going to get very ugly.
People start questioning Eichel, the arena is a disaster (every more than it already is) and people walk out.
Bring back the screaming DJ though.
Being the 50th season, this could set up to be all time ugly if things don’t go well - ImThatGuy

since 1988
the sabres have drafted 2 players in the first round that played in an all star game
jack and vanek
so 1 in 15 years
I would move 4 first round picks to get an all star - homiedclown
This screams "totally desperate" to me. That first pick could very well be top5 next year. If we can't pick all stars out of the top10, this team won't turn around anyways. Trading 4 1sts is what you do when you are a perennial playoff team and SC contender IMO. |

Aho should be the target, he would instantly make us a major threat. One can dream I guess, just don’t see it happening. |

shouldn't you be a cup contender with eichel, skinner, dahlin, marner, casey and reinhart?

If Olofsson is good, then probably, if they got a partner for Dahlin as well |

No. Desperate doesn't work.
We've been desperate before, traded away our future assets...how many cups did that win us?

Yeah but you need to be smart. I would love Marner or Point.
Botts could get cheaper players via trade. So many teams are in cap jail. Give botts time and see what happens.
And this team can’t give up 4. 1st round picks.
If we knew our picks were going to be 15th or later in the first round. That would be fine. But the Sabres as is, we can’t get rid of top 10 picks. |

Can we stop using Murray as a bench mark?
He was Chia bad.
Just because one gm was the absolute doesn’t mean dealing with futures is going to have the same result |

So your plan is to bank on mostly guys that have proved absolutely nothing in the NHL and instantly they are going to make this team a contender?
Every fan of every team thinks the prospects they have are going to be amazing. 60-70% of the time, they are not. - ImThatGuy
Who would you trade off of my list?
Eichel
Dahlin
Mitts
Sam-
Tage- for sure
Nylander- yes
Erod
Pilut
Goaloffson
Ullmark
You just cant give up on all these guys at a young age.
Need a core group and they are the core with skinner.
McCabe
Risto
Bogo
Hunwick
Sheary
Wilson
Girgs
Larrson
Ellie
Cj smith
I didnt mention these scrubs

I thought we should have been better last year. So, I think with him we could be a playoff contender, but no, he doesn't win us a cup. Good chance even with him we are watching lottery balls next year. Defense is a mess, goaltending same, still no depth scoring.
I don't think this is a 1 player fix. Do you? |

I think we'd be a playoff team for sure. He probably gets 75 points on the second line, and Sheary/Olofsson and Mitts get 20g a peach playing with him |

Has nothing to do with GMTM. If you trade 4 1sts away, you are giving up a large part of your future potential. That's simply factual I would think. |

The re-signing of these 3 clowns (sorry Homie) is unforgiveable in my books. And Sobotka should have been bought out. This is not progress. Ralph might be a good coach but even Scotty Bowman in his prime couldn't turn these clowns (sorry again) into playoff contenders. At the very least, Botts should have scrubbed out those 4 and replaced with Nylander, CJ Smith, player X and player Y.
