A one way contract means nothing. Any guy that's seen as a veteran callup will get a one way contract. It just means they earn the same salary in either league. One way, two way, they're not waiver exempt. Lazar can easily pass through waivers, which is the point.

All it means is if they send him down, he has to clear waivers, and he would make the same in the AHL as the NHL.
