We dont want him to end up there though, we want to trade Risto to Vancouver! - Stripes77
Unless Jimmy Benning pulls a Jimmy Benning and sends us Boeser, I don't want Risto going there. The return is bound to severely underwhelming |

Based on Miller saying he's looking forward to a larger role, I assume he thinks he's playing with Dahlin, which, sure I guess
Dahlin-Miller
McCabe-Montour
Scandella-Risto
Pilut-Bogo
Hunwick-Nelson
Probably the depth chart?
Which one is moving to center - jcragcrumple
You mean to start the season only, if Pilut isn't ready, right? |

He gone. - ImThatGuy

I haven't totally given up on scandalous. He was decent his first year. I think he's fine for the third pair. Steve Smith just needs to erase whatever Housley was telling him |

Not gonna try to poop on your new acquisition, but don't bank on Miller for anything above sheltered 3rd pairing minutes. Maybe it's possible that he finds the right partner to cancel out his serious weaknesses (slot defense, net front, etc) but all the evidence points towards a player that exemplifies the difference between process and results.
Despite keeping himself on the right side of the chance share battle, he gets caved rather dramatically within the slot despite playing soft-to-butter soft minutes. Be cautious. |

I heard he just lost 10 attribute points on NHL 20 after last night. And not because everyone hates buffalo. Because he was never that good to begin with. Bazinga |

I agree. But the other options (Bogo, Risto, Montour) don't make any more sense than him, so I assume they're gonna put him in that role |

Oh well, got him for pennies on the dollar. If he sucks it’s not an issue. Thanks for not poopting on our new guy though. |

Tage Thompson said he's put on 8 to 9 pounds since the end of the season and looking to add another 5. Strength strength strength! |

Do Ruotsalainen and Olofsson have a shot to make the big club? If so where do you put them?
Or does Ruotsalainen automatically go to the AHL so we don’t Antipin him? Biggest mistake we made is signing Antipin to a deal that guaranteed an NHL spot. Wouldn’t want to make the same mistake... |

We got a #5 d-man on a good contract with term for a 2nd rounder 2 years from now and a conditional 5th. He will supply depth. He actually scored extremely well with his corsi rating as well. |

Maybe if they put 3-4 nets together he can hit one when he shoots. |

Ruotsalainen goes back to Finland if he doesn’t make the NHL but we still own his rights for 2 years. |

Yeah, the cost wasn't too dear and maybe he can find a fit to cover for him, but my point of contention was strictly the top pairing deployment. |

In fairness to me, I had him at 78 overall BEFORE the trade |

That's fair. I ought to have considered that yours was a "this is what I think will happen" as opposed to a "this is what should happen". Tough distinction to draw sometimes! |

I didn’t know that, thanks. I do like the slow development with these guys. I hope we turn a decent corner this year. Still some work to do. The next few days should be interesting! |
