Ruotsalainen goes back to Finland if he doesn’t make the NHL but we still own his rights for 2 years. - Pegullaville
We have him for 3 years on an ELC, ends with RFA rights.
If he doesn't make Buffalo, he returns to Finland if
-He wants to
-His team wants him to
If only one of those conditions are true, he returns. If neither are true, he plays in Rochester. |

We got a #5 d-man on a good contract with term for a 2nd rounder 2 years from now and a conditional 5th. He will supply depth. He actually scored extremely well with his corsi rating as well. - Pegullaville
Corsi is a poor evaluative tool for an individual as so much of it has to do with linemates, partners and deployment. Once you factor in his butter-soft usage, you can start to see that his Corsi better be damn good. I think he'd be well-suited to playing the role of Grelzyck-type specialist that can drive-up GF with your top guys in a limited role. |

This pretty much says it all. Average deployment in the offensive zone. He's a fine acquisition. Hardcore analytics guys have already blown their collective load. Color is whether you're being outshot. Orange is no, white is neutral, blue is yes. Size of circle is ATOI. Right side is offensive deployment, left is defensive. Verticle position represents quality of competition.

When I dislocated my thumb it was in the middle of my wrist. Should’ve just tried yanking it bank in after it happened. Instead I went to the emergency room, waited in the ER for an hour until this putz Botterill like doctor tried to pull it back in place. I knew that putz wasn’t going to be able to do it the moment i saw him. He was practically breathing in a paper bag when he saw it. So had to be driven home and go to the ortho the next morning. That was a painful night, but then again I’m a (frank)in champion.
Sorry Gerbe, looks like you were right all along. Should’ve drafted Cole and his 72 goals. FML. |

Routsaleinen looked pretty good at Dcamp yesterday, He reminded me of Mats Naslund in the way he skates and releases the puck. So, if he is half as good as that, we might have found ourselves a diamond in the rough. There is no reason he couldn't carve out a role at 2C. There were some good efforts from a bunch of players. Borgen was a beast hitting everything in sight, Hickey look like a natural leader, Cederqvist showed some speed and sneaky hands, Brett Murray is starting to find his way, good skater, uses his size well, Jacob Bryson, for the second year in a row, showed that he knows how to play Defense, skates very well, for a smallish player, he positions his body correctly more often than not. He could be a surprise as early as this year.
Colin Miller was a good pickup for almost nothing, he will help the defense. also the fact that he has extensive playoff experience doesn't hurt either. |

Colin Miller is looking forward to getting a fresh start with the Buffalo Sabres.
Miller was traded from Vegas to Buffalo on Friday night. "I'm excited to take on a little bit more of a role than I had in Vegas and try and help the team any way I can," said Miller following the move. He could see top-four minutes with the Sabres, but getting power-play time behind Rasmus Dahlin and Rasmus Ristolainen could be difficult. |

I agree. I mean how is a hockey player gonna recover from a dislocated thumb. Wasted pick, putz putz, personal embellished story of heroics and toughness, putz, I knew it, putz, services missed. |

Ryan Spooner has been placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of a contract buyout.
Spooner played for three teams in 2018-19 and he registered a mere nine points in 52 contests for the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks will have a cap hit of $1.033 million in 2019-20 and 2020-21 as a result of the buyout, while the Rangers will take a cap hit of $300,000 in 2019-20 and 2020-21 because they retained part of his salary.
A lot of dead money there between him and Luongo. |

I’m gonna rant here for a few tweets...
1- The Miller trade bugs me for a few reasons. The main one being that this was a trade the Jets could have made and should have pursued considering the end cost Buffalo paid.
Where the (frank) have I seen this before? Definitely NOT the Haula trade. DEFINITELY not. |

Did you read the article?
So Winnipeg has been blackballed by Vegas because they pursued a trade before the expansion draft or something? |
