His problem is he cannot figure out how to fit in. No leadership qualities. Disappears for stretches of a game. Doesn’t play hungry. Money comes from performance on a nightly basis or just another player who washes out like so many others have. He doesn’t find the drive & determination soon & will end up bouncing around as a 4th liner.

One thing about JV is he isn’t put in a position to succeed. He hasn’t earned it either. If i were his C i’d dump it in & make him chase & bang. Designing lines is the coaches responsibility. Some players cannot be forced into a system that doesn’t suit them. More open minded thinking is needed.

I have a hard time believing that the owner will authorize that money to the AHL, not to mention the $5m cap hit that will still apply for a guy who isn’t even playing for them.
