I prefer to see how Hughes takes over & the other D perform. Myers is not a stand alone answer & it’s how all the D play matters. - Nighthawk
Seperate things, but yes I agree, I too am very excited about Hughes. Kid is special, and a type of D that this team and franchise has always needed. |

lol this is a whole different argument towards Benning but yes, I agree. Myers is a good 2nd pairing D-man on this team's current Defense, there is no doubt. - Codes1087
That is succinct & to the point 👍 |

Agreed but as we get better the pendulum can shift more towards our side. With EP & Hughes we are on the right track. Players gravitate to teams on the rise or contending. - Nighthawk
They also gravitate towards where they know they will make the most bank lol
But yes you are right. It's more enticing to players when they obviously know they have a chance at the cup. I believe that's why schenn chose tampa over us (or what is being reported anyway) |

That’s what I’m saying. Live with your mistakes, do things properly (yes, I know, there isn’t “one way” to rebuild), and take your time. The result will usually be better. - 1970vintage
Setting out the road map starts it all off.
Sometimes the route gets diverted.
Adjusting is a big part. |

Just think of if Hughes goes Calder quality. That alone would be a terrific season. Imagine how we project then. |

Getting JTM signifies a move forward to fill holes. Getting Myers does further that. Going from there will be the biggest phase of all. Prospect pipeline is in great shape. More drafts & prospects in the following years yet to come. Albeit we lost a 1st. Lastly the kids on the ice now will be the biggest impact determining us ascending to the heights we hope for. |

Calder would be nice, but I just hope green puts him in positions to develop and grow and succeed. I'm also getting excited about the idea of podkolzin being in our top 6 in a couple years. A couple years of Hughes and adding the bulldog Russian to the mix and the team will be looking good |

Can we just agree to disagree. My wife is 3 days away from her due date and I dont have it in me to keep going lol.
And just to be clear, it was term not money. I'd prefer 7.5 x 2 years |

In 2 yrs just imagine the influx of our prospects being ready. That will be fun to look forward to. TG just let Hughes play his rover style 👍 |

like I said before, im not hating on Myers, hes fine. I just dont like how benning structures contracts, especially with UFA's. I won't be complaining if Benning makes me eat my words, again, it would be a good thing. My hope is that i am wrong. - Codes1087

Other than the stars if our support players can win puck battles & gain possession that is a great thing. Play with the puck is everything these days. Skill & speed isn’t much good if hemmed in our end or turning it over anywhere on the ice. |

I just hope the contract is not buyout proof - pker2theend
I just hope anything stupid tomorrow doesn't cost us Hughes or any other prospect. |

As a top 4 it's a middle of the road top 4 in the league. IF they can all stay healthy for 70 games of the season. - manvanfan
I’m not sold on this. Bottom of the road in the league regardless of health. |

Cannot have Tanev & Stetcher being our top 4 RHD. It simply isn’t enough. Stetcher in the 3rd pairing makes us much more balanced & deep. |

I don’t believe Tyler Myers upgrades the team by a significant margin. Being tall isn’t enough, just like being Gritty isn’t enough.
In case you don’t understand, I”’m explain. It’s both a shot at Gudbranson, for his less than gritty performance over the years, and at the Flyers mascot, your second team. |
