team isnt done. id rather keep naz and trade other pieces. - systemtool
I agree..
But sometimes the other teams don't want those other pieces you prefer to trade. If Naz gets it done I do it. |

He can certainly play above Marincrap in the line-up.
Ottawa fans crap all over their defense... mostly with good reason. But - we have to remember that Ottawa thought Karlsson was a good defender... both Ceci and Harpur have a chance to play some minutes, particularly with the injury to Dermott.
I would have rather saved the Spezza waste of money to give to Hainsey. - BorjeFan4Ever
I’m not going to even bother |

He is a 6th defensmen.
He is a good guy it seems but not worth 3.5....not even close. - Santo_44
Money kind of irrelevant, as long as it’s only 1-2 years.
6th is what I figured. Throw him on the bottom pairing with borowiecki.
He’ll prob end up on the top pair with zaitsev. Lol |

Money is not irrelevent..especially for Ottawa.
The 3.5 million is money thats gone. Not smart to spend on Hainsey. |

Spezza will make league minimum, so in theory he would free up money to re-sign Hainsey. |

Ceci's a long shot reclamation project, but as a 6/7 (dear god, please, not top 4) he's low-risk and doesn't make us worse. - gravyface
Ceci is very high risk. It's a toss up between him and Marincin who is worse |

So Dubas gives up Brown for a 3rd round pick.
Talk about bad asset management. |
