I feel like the last few days have actually been interesting for hockey!

Lots of trades and deals. And I'm actually fairly pleased with the Leafs moves so far. It's cost us a bit to shed a massive amount of salary, but honestly, I think Dubas has done pretty well, all things considered. I'm mostly just sad we had to give up that first to shed Marleau.

Dubas really did have an impossible job as far as having to dump salary, sign Marner and somehow put together an NHL defense.

But he has only accomplished 1/3 above. I'm curious to see how the rest of the offseason goes.

I'm thinking Liljegren gets a shot at the team, but even if he makes it, he'll likely receive sheltered third pairing minutes to start, so it's not like that addresses our need for a guy in the top 4. If we really do end up playing both Ceci and Harpur, well, uh, we'll see I guess lol. At least Harpur is big and supposedly mean, although I have no idea if he can play.

Watching all this poop on Panarin and I realize Marner is on a similar level and if Chicago can trade Panarin and move on then the Leafs can do the same if it comes down to that.
