Nylander wouldn't get as much in return, or create enough cap space for us to further improve.

Not sure how else to get Rielly a good partner. We'll soon be paying 5 guys at 7m+ and about 13 at 2m-

I think we can get more than 1 good piece for trading Marner (imo). Probably 2 roster players, a 1st round pick and a couple of mil cap space

Leafs aren’t making the playoffs with the D they have. But they can’t trade anyone because reasons. I’ll enjoy watching the Canes drafting 11th.

Personally, I don't mind seeing what ceci can do with this forward group. His numbers look better than zaitsevs to me.

JT's arrival made Kadri pedestrian though. Kadri at 2C makes up 15 goals right there. If the d man coming back is a stud he's making up at least another 15 goals, probably 45-65 points. Not as big a loss as people think. The key would be finding a decent 3rd line centre. But that shouldn't be too hard.

I agree on Nylander though. He's probably getting them a pretty meh d man back.
