This Zaitsev was terrible with Gardner but I thought was good in the playoff s with Muzzin...All he needs to be is passable as a 4-6 guy.

Zaitzev was trash with Reilly as well. He always seemed to drag his pairing down, regardless of who he was with until Muzzin got here and he looked less bad. (Still bad)

I think if Jones were on the Leafs there's no way in hell you'd trade him for Marner.

I've argued against this win now notion, as have others, for a while now.

You don't get grossly mismanaged for 15 years, draft a couple of high end players then automatically enter a win now phase. It'll be a few more years. After this summer, that date could possibly have been pushed back further.

The zaitsev Reilly pairing had a month where each went minus 30. And yes that was his first year. It started off good until teams figured zaitsev out.
