I've always liked the Av's but don't watch them as much as I wish I could. From what I hear, Barrie is often Gardineresque in his own zone. At least he puts up big points though. And he'll help out the powerplay so much. Him and Muzzin would make a great 2nd pair. Don't think he'd pair well with Rielly.
Kadri was a great Leaf and I'll miss him. But yeah, this is a good trade. Might not the the landslide everyone claims it is though.

Why? He fits on the second pairing with Muzzin and will buy time for either Liljgren and/or Sandin to develop for later in the year or next year. Barrie is half retained for this year. Really doesn't add cap pressure now. Brilliant move by Dubas.

Kerfoot is what he is. Slotted for 3rd line duty, PK and decent forechecker who can give you some depth scoring with some skilled wingers which he'll have.
