I've often thought the management doesn't see the team being able to "win now".

Yes, Ceci verbally agreed to a one year, $4.5 million contract with the Leafs. Arb case likely would have come in above that and that wouldn’t have worked for Toronto. Good opportunity for Ceci to raise his market value.

initially I was thinking Nylander/Ellis when the signing bonus is paid but there are a bunch of rumours on Kadri....a deal was made but fell through. Maybe Hanafin or Pesce.

I am looking at some stats and between the two they are both poop....but Ceci looks better
