To anyone worried about the Maple Leafs' penalty kill: D.J. Smith just helped swipe three of Toronto's best killers in Hainsey, Zaitsev and Brown. - gravyface
Leafs now have sens worse PK.... eco and Harpur played huge PK minutes |

To be fair, Toronto is also Ottawa’s dumping ground. Ceci, Harpur, greening, cowen, etc. Lol
Never seen 2 teams (frank) themselves and the other team so many times. Lol - sensarmy_11
Nope. Garbage sits in a landfill not decomposing.
Ottawa is the landfill and Toronto is the green house.
You are giving us banana peels we just gave you a bag of trash and a 5$ tip for taking it. |

Probably 4C, face off guy, depth/insurance. Can't argue with that for 700K.
The only way Kadri's gone is if Nylander steps into that role and I'm not sure they want that. Kadri's a 2C playing in the 3 hole, which makes us strong down the middle. Spazda in that 3 hole does not. - gravyface
Yeah Spezza signing is a decent injury insurance signing as well. Ceci probably sucks just as much as Zaistev but I’m glad they got out of the term on Zaistevs deal. Maybe Ceci works out but I have my doubts. |

Harpur more then likely won’t even play for the Leafs. |

Ya but Phanuef no retention > Anything the Sens ever did - PinkSock
After Lou (frank)ed the Sens, all he left them were a couple of rolled up $1 Canadian Tire bills. Savage. |

He could, but he's not as good as Kadri, that's my point: Kadri at 3C gives us strength/depth down the middle far greater than just Spezza there. - gravyface
We don't need a Kadri level player there.
We do need a D however. |

I thought Spezza was really solid in the playoffs and showed some life in the second round. For one year, not a bad signing at all. |

Did James Reimer get bought out yesterday?
I wonder if the leafs pick him up on the cheap for a backup. |

More minutes for AM will offset Kadri being moved |

He would be good, but I think price and term were both problems.

He might have to unless you plug one of your young prospects into the lineup. Probably a better option, but maybe not ideal for their development. |

Ceci's a long shot reclamation project, but as a 6/7 (dear god, please, not top 4) he's low-risk and doesn't make us worse. |
