It's completely front loaded and much of it is a signing bonus so he is lockout protected. They know the Carolina owner is cheap.

This team as constructed, still, can't be presented on opening day expecting a different result. We added a pair of pieces using some lottery ticket picks. We're not moving the needle until there are player swaps, and he knows that. He emphasized this by his continued mention of the trade market.

He's precisely what Botts said he is. "top 9"

If Botts thinks a top 9 winger is going to push this team forward, he has no right being a GM. However, he scored more points last season than all but 5 players on this team. He'd be the 4th highest scoring F.

That's not useless. It's an indictment of our depth. And, like it or not, he improves our scoring.

I would think Tampa is in a bigger bind as far as the cap goes. Then again, I do put Point (as well as Aho) in the "you figure out a way to make it work" category.
