From here on out, the way I see it is that there very well could be - and probably will be - either a Risto or McCabe + trade. But to expect more than 1 or 2 moves tops is unrealistic to me. I think roster surgery has become cosmetic surgery. I think roster will look pretty damn similar

See, that's the thing. There was nobody they could have realistically signed on July 1st that would make me think any different.

Listening to this call, Botterill makes it sound like Vesey will change the dynamic of the team. I just don't get it with this organization.

The other side of it is that as soon as they sign it.... they owe Aho 11.3M in signing bonus.

They might have to call around and fill out some IOU's just to get that much money there.
