What was the (frank)ing point of buying out Sekera if not to use the 3mil to get into the bidding market for a guy like Nyquist. Considering they were IN on Connolly at 3.5 to 4, surely adding 3mil in cap space should make 5.5mil or even 6 well within our bounds.

It’s not bad, but as it stands we are a worse team than last season, while everyone else got better, except Calgary, but they’re already better

What was the (frank)ing point of buying out Nyquist if not to use the 3mil to get into the bidding market for a guy like Nyquist. Considering they were IN on Connolly at 3.5 to 4, surely adding 3mil in cap space should make 5.5mil or even 6 well within our bounds.

San Jose got worse, Calgary has stayed the same, Anaheim hasn't changed but likely rebounds with youth, Arizona got better, Vegas is getting worse but a full year of Stone will mitigate that and Vancouver made changes that likely don't help much. LA will still be down there.

Vegas is the most overrated team in the league. Their defence is bottom five in the league and they don't have a backup goalie. They have no money to fix anything. They would have missed the playoffs last year if the division wasn't so awful. They're going to need 65+ starts from Fleury to even have a chance.
